Praises and Prayer request

Praises:

• God has supplied every need that we have had financially. Thank You Father for provision!
• The team has come together in great ways. We have worked hard together on work projects and fundraisers, learned a lot about one another and laughed a lot together. I look forward to serving with this team. Thank You Jesus for unity!
• We have been doing Bible study together since late January. God, I ask that You would continue to use Your Word to shape our lives as Your disciples.

Prayer requests:

• Safety in travel (leave Aug. 15th…return on the 23rd) We will be driving from Kalamazoo to Chicago, flying to Miami and then flying to the Dominican from there.
• Safety in work as we handle heavy playground equipment and power tools.
• Health and strength as we do heavy work in very hot conditions.
• God’s work in lives in the Dominicans. Though we will be focused on our work project, it is always our desire to share Jesus with the people we will meet.
• God’s work in our lives. This trip has already been focused on God reshaping us as His disciples. I pray that God will continue that work in each of our lives in dramatic ways.
• Openness and depth in our “tandems”. This trip was designed in a unique way. We have 5 adults and 5 students on the team. Each has been paired in a “tandem” so that they have a prayer partner for this trip. They will spend time together each day discussing what God is doing in their lives and what they are learning. Please pray that God uses these relationships as a vehicle for His work in our lives.

This is an awesome crew that God has put together…hard workers whose desire is to serve the King. Thank you for praying for us by name…now you have a face to go with your prayers.
